Minister Carletta Blackmon was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Larnzie and Charles Blackmon. She is the fifth of nine siblings and was raised in Dayton, Ohio. In 2005, she relocated to Duluth, Georgia with her pastoral ministry, where she faithfully served as a Church Administrator for 11 years.
After facing many challenges throughout her life, Carletta considers her educational journey one of her greatest accomplishments. She graduated from high school and continued her studies, earning an Associate’s Degree in Business, a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education and Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Media Communications and Christian Education from International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth. She is currently only a few credits away from completing her Doctorate Degree, which she plans to finish in the future.
Minister Blackmon has served in ministry for over 20 years as a Minister, Intercessor, Psalmist, and Anointed Minstrel. She is also an author of two inspirational books, I Made It on Broken Pieces and My Spiritual Encounters, where she shares powerful testimonies of faith, perseverance, and spiritual encounters.
Music has always been a vital part of Carletta’s life. She traveled throughout the United States performing R&B and Pop music for many years before rededicating her life to the Lord. Returning to her first love—Gospel music—she has ministered through music for more than 40 years, producing seven gospel CD recordings. In addition, she has released three R&B CDs, reflecting her belief that music in its many forms can touch and heal the soul.
Carletta is the proud mother of Dr. Carla Chaney Rhodes and Danny Chaney, both successful in their businesses. She is also blessed with five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren, whom she lovingly considers part of her greatest legacy.
Her fiancé, Broque Johnson Sr., plays an important role in her life as a strong supporter and encourager in both her personal life and ministry.
One of the most powerful testimonies in Carletta’s life is her victory over Stage III cancer. She proudly declares herself a living miracle and uses her testimony to encourage others who are facing life’s battles, reminding them of the power of faith and God’s healing grace.
